I started knuslabs to make built-in furniture feel as simple as describing what you want. I design the product, build the software, and write every guide on this blog.
knuslabs is a small, independent studio in Amsterdam. We turn a photo of your wall, nook, or awkward corner into a built-in furniture design that fits it to the millimetre, then build it and ship it flat-pack across Europe.
Everything on the blog is written by me: the measuring guides, the material comparisons, the honest looks at what flat-pack hacks can and cannot do. When a guide tells you to leave room for the skirting board, it is because we had to learn that somewhere.
The furniture side I learned the slow way: from the mills we source our wood from, from the workshop, and from every design that came back with a note saying the wall was not quite straight.
