The pilot, in plain terms.

The pilot is the first real-home built-in we produce as knuslabs. You design a built-in concept with the Knuslabs tool, and from the first 100 entries we select one home to design, produce, and deliver for free, up to €1,000 in value.

Entering is free, and designing your concept is free for everyone, whether or not you are selected. The build is the prize for one selected home.

These terms cover the pilot only. Ordering a built-in in the normal way is covered by our general terms of service.

To enter the pilot you need to:

• Be 18 years or older.
• Be based in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany or Denmark.
• Be able to share rough measurements of the space once your concept takes shape.
• Be happy to help validate the final design with us before anything is built.

One entry is plenty, though you are welcome to design more than one concept if you have several spaces in mind. To keep things fair, knuslabs people and anyone involved in running the pilot cannot be selected.

Upload a photo of a wall, alcove, or corner, and tell us what you would love to build there. That is your entry.

Entries must show a real space in a home you live in, photographed as it is today. We design around your actual wall, alcove, or corner, so renders, showroom or catalogue shots, and photos of places you do not live are not eligible.

From there you shape it into a custom-fit concept using the same free Knuslabs design tool everyone uses. Every entry you submit is automatically in the running for the pilot.

Entries close once we have received 100 submissions. After that the pilot is full and the selection begins.

We do not choose a winner before the pilot is full. The selection happens only once we have received all 100 entries, never before. This is a pilot selection, not a lottery or a random draw: among those 100 entries we choose the one home we can serve best, based on design potential, feasibility, and fit for a strong first case study.

Reaching 100 entries does not guarantee a build. If none of the entries are a suitable fit to design and produce safely and well, we may decide not to select any home and to close the pilot instead, at our discretion. This can happen even after all 100 places are full.

We email everyone who entered once the selection is made, whether or not their entry is chosen. Our decision is final, and we are always happy to explain the thinking if you ask.

The selected home receives a real Knuslabs built-in:

• A custom-fit built-in designed around your space.
• Production of the piece, up to €1,000 in value.
• Delivery and setup support to your door.
• Your project featured as our first real-home case study.

Exact materials and a final spec are confirmed with you before anything is built. The €1,000 figure is a total cap covering design and production. The prize is the built-in itself; there is no cash alternative.

A few things sit outside the pilot, so there are no surprises:

• Installation labour is not included. Delivery and guidance are.
• Production depends on feasibility and safety checks. If a concept cannot be built safely as drawn, we will tell you and offer alternatives.
• One built-in per selected home.
• Anything beyond the €1,000 cap, if you choose to expand the project, is quoted and agreed with you separately.

The photos and details you share are used only to design your concept and run the pilot. We will not publish anyone's before or after images without asking you first.

By entering, you agree that we may contact you about the pilot: to hear about your experience using Knuslabs, to ask for feedback, and, if your home is selected, to plan and talk through your built-in. We only contact you about the pilot and your project, not unrelated marketing, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

The concept you design is yours. If you are not selected, you keep it, and you are welcome to take it further with Knuslabs when production opens. Early participants get the first invitations.

We run the pilot as described here, but it is an early programme and some details may shift. If we need to adjust the timing, the 100 count, or these terms, we will update this page and note the date at the top.

knuslabs may pause, change, or end the pilot at any time, for any reason, without notice, explanation, or compensation. Because entering and designing are free, no one is owed anything if we do: there is no payment to refund, and no prize is promised to anyone until a home is selected.

These terms are governed by Dutch law, like the rest of our terms of service.
